Sweet Cherry Pie

Ok - the temptation was just too great...I really shouldn't be casting on any more projects, I have a *few* on the go already and some gift knitting to get finished but I couldn't just look at this yarn any more!

The yarn is 'Cherry Pie' - the November installment of the YarnCollective Sock Club dyed by the super talented Elissa from The Yarn Cafe.

Cherry Pie was screaming 'girly, girly' to me so after some serious pattern searching I finally settled on Kaibashira. I cast on late last night and have only managed to get the cast on and two repeats done but I'm enjoying it so far.

The cast on was a new one for me...cast on 187 stitches for a sock!!! but I'm really happy with the frilly cuff...very sweet.

And I just love how the yarn is knitting up.

That's looking like a prefect pattern choice! Gorgeous, and I'm so impressed you survived the cast on ;-)

Thanks guys :) I'm loving them so far - think they will make a really cute pair of summer socks...hmmm, now just to find the right shoes!

The cast on got to me by the end but I'm impressed with the outcome so I think I'll be able to cope with the second sock ;)

It does look really beautiful in that yarn. Can't wait to see the finished sock.
